Summer as a season for learning

  • 3 min read

Summer has always had a particular rhythm for me. Not the “slow down and disconnect” rhythm we often associate with holidays, but a softer, more spacious one, a rhythm that opens room for curiosity, exploration, and deeper study.

When the world pauses a little, I can move differently. People are on holiday, requests soften, interruptions fade. The heat itself creates a natural boundary: you simply can’t spend the whole day outside, so you begin to look inward: you read more, you listen more, you learn more. For me, summer has become the season where I grow the most.

Last summer: body positivity, intuitive living, and the language of the body

In 2025, I dedicated my summer to The Body Positive's facilitator training, a journey that took me deeper into body image, self‑love, intuitive living, and the emotional landscape we carry inside our skin.

These were not new topics for me. They were already part of my Style Coaching™ foundations, the very roots of my professional identity. But studying them again, with new teachers and new frameworks, opened doors I didn’t know were there. It reminded me that learning is not linear. It’s layered. And every layer reveals something essential.

This summer: master‑level NLP training

This year, I chose to go further. I enrolled in a master‑level NLP training, not because I needed a new qualification, but because I wanted new perspectives, new tools, new ways of understanding how people think, feel, and change.

Continuous learning keeps me flexible. It keeps me awake. It keeps me from staying stuck in the mindset I had four years ago, a mindset that was good, but not enough for the people I support today. The world changes. People change. And I want my work to evolve with them.

Why continuous learning matters in my work

Everything I study, body image, confidence, mindset, habits, identity, communication, becomes part of how I support clients. But I never want to offer a rigid, one‑path‑fits‑all journey. We all have different experiences. We all have different needs. We all have different levels of understanding.

My role is not to show everything I know. My role is to help you with what you really need. Yes, I can support you with goal setting, inner confidence, body image, long‑term habits. But if you come to me only to learn how to create more self‑enhancing outfits, I won’t force you into time‑management coaching. Even though (and this is the beauty of personal style), becoming skilled in outfit creation often improves time management anyway. Learning keeps my work alive. It keeps it relevant. It keeps it human.

Summer learning as a practice of becoming

Every summer, I choose one or two topics and explore them deeply. Not to reinvent myself, but to refine myself, to stay curious, to stay open because when I grow, my work grows. And when my work grows, I can meet each person exactly where they are with clarity, kindness, and the right tools for their journey.

After The Summer School: a workbook to carry you forward

If summer is also your season for exploration, the Personal Style Summer School is an e-mail based free online program offering daily insights and exercises on:

  • identity

  • personal style

  • self‑expression

  • creativity

  • intuitive living

You can join alone, with your partner, with your children, or as a whole family. Every activity is adaptable and you can explore it in your own way, at your own pace. It’s a gentle, meaningful way to reconnect with yourself from the inside out.

This year's edition has just come to an end, but all the activities, reflections and daily exercises are now gathered in a single workbook. Contact me if you want to receive it and explore whenever you want. It includes every prompt, exercise and activity from the program, ready to use on your own, with your children, with your partner, or as a family ritual in the next few weeks before school starts, or anytime during the year when you feel the need for a gentle reset. And if you’d like to join us next summer, you can already add your name to the waitlist for the 2027 edition. Take your time with it. Let it unfold slowly, in your rhythm.

And You?

What have you learned lately? What are you studying this summer? What new ideas are you exploring right now? I’d love to hear.
